[DECtalk] IT'S FINALLY UP TO STAY

When you buy a creative modem card or USB modem, faxtalk is included. DO
NOT buy the USB modem. Best Buy will tell you it works, but I can guarantee it
won't. When you get a call through a USB modem, your computer shuts down
after about 30 seconds.

I can't get faxtalk running right on Vista. If anyone ends up getting
faxtalk, I can help with version 4 point 5. The new 7 point o for Vista has me
stumped. I found where I can still buy Windows XP. I might erase Vista
because I totally hate it! It's fine for mouse users, but bad for keyboard
shortcuts. Plus it doesn't even install programs right. Click a help file in any
XP program and it won't open because Vista doesn't handle that format. Thank
you Bill Gates.

you can turn that feature off.
The thing is that linux has root access.
Linux is influencing windows, we actually have had it to soft.
is faxtalk free.

who wanted to be on my system. I haven't had this up for 2 years, so I'm
excited! I won't have much more time to work on it because I work 3 jobs. But I
have the hardest part done, the menus.

This system took years to build, so to actually get this back up and running
is very exciting for me. And I have better software, so the quality is
perfect!

thousands of options so I can do anything I feel like. I could have a 72
hour long message if I wanted to. I would never want to, but it's nice to know
I could. So that's why I'm doing it this way.

a mouse, so trying to use mouse keys with Vista is not fun! Plus it confirms
everything 3 times, then it asks permission to do what you already said yes
to 3 times.

Asterisk in Linux would probably do what you want, using Voip or regular lines. I
think Voip could be cheaper, but which provider for such a project and making
the system could be hard.

>Hi guys! I'm sorry about yesterday. I ended up going out and getting a
2nd modem so I could install my system on my main computer. So I have the
system on two computers for now until I get the dedicated computer stable.

it out as an information ministry line and today I think I want to work on
building the Church listing menu for the Duluth area. But I feel I need more
interesting stuff to put on it.

anyone wants a set of boxes to do your own stuff, just let me know. And if you
get boxes, you can either record your own stuff right over the phone, or
e-mail me text or wav files and I can easily put them in the system.

leaves you a personal message, or you can have the option of not having any
messages at all. Every box is password protected. And you can change your own
password to anything you want.

coming in all the time. I want to add old radio shows, radio mysteries, and
so on. But mostly I want Dectalk Stuff just because it would be neat to have
a mostly Dectalk automated system.

chance. Right now it's running off a single line. My friend Dave is trying to
find other software that will handle multiple lines, but right now it's just
a single line.
