[DECtalk] Mirror may get pulled

Hello,
Well, it would appear that my announcement of the Planetmirror of the
DECtalk archive may have been premature. This morning I received a message
from someone at Planetmirror who had been looking through the transfer logs
and found the files in the Talking Dictionary directory, which are Talking
Dictionary versions of popular and definitely copyrighted songs. He asked
me what these files were, and told me that Planetmirror does not allow
content which is illegal/porn/warez/etc. I wrote back this afternoon and
explained what those files are. However, I am pretty sure they'll decide to
pull the archive, since these files, among others, are questionable from a
copyright standpoint.
The archive still exists at Planetmirror at this moment. If any of you have
been downloading from it, it's probably a lot faster than my copy. In
general, assuming an archive to be mirrored is legal, Planetmirror is very
easy to work with. There's a form on their page where you tell them about
an archive you'd like to have mirrored. They prefer to use Rsync for
mirroring purposes but will use FTP if needed.
Jayson.
Jayson.
