[Blindapple] running an apple gs

    I have an apple gs my sister gave long long ago.  My 2 e quit 
working, I ordered a power supply kit hoping that will fix it, 
but thought about trying the 2 gs.  I have seen mention on this 
list that it takes a special version of textalker.  Anything else 
I should know?  Thanks.

Don’t know how many of you keep up with this, but, at some point 
in the recent past, some progress has been made in IIgs 
emulation.



Particularly, I now find that MAME knows the difference in the 
numbers row and the numeric pad, and, I have been able to 
experience Textalker GS 1.0’s review command utilizing CTRL and 
the numeric keys.  Almost reminds me of ASAP’s features a little. 
Of course, Larry Skutchan wrote ASAP and did a lot with TTGS.



Also, in the more recent MAME releases, you can specify the 
superdrive controller card and use 800K disk images on the apple 
2E, and maybe others, complete with the disk sounds.
