[Blindapple] Apple IIgs keyboard emulation question

Hello,
I have heard that the Apple IIgs emulation is definitely not the best, or at least it wasn't on MESS. I've ben trying it under MAME, but I'm having a quite annoying issue that I hope someone has figured out. To start some programs, such as GS/OS software, I need to put Textalker-GS in a RAM drive, which requires the control panel in desk accessories. The problem is that the Apple key doesn't seem to be emulated so I can't get there at all. Has anyone found a workaround for this?
