[Blindapple] Open Apple disk magazine

Hi Tony and others interested in Soft Disk,
I have a modified program called
Soft Reader
which comes with a hello file with instructions for SoftDisk.
Aparently, somebody modified this program years ago to work with speech with SoftDisk.
The Softdisk text is in a Random access textfile thus requiring a special reader.
If you will email me directly, I will send a zip with the hello and the Soft Reader program.
While we can’t share the text of the disks, I see nothing wrong with sharing a modified program to make the magazine accessable.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I've been looking for any disk magazines for years now. I have a complete SoftDisk archive, but the text reader isn't accessible and they don't use standard text files. Asimov has lots of magazines in .pdf but not very many on disk. I can't share SoftDisk due to legal and copyright reasons, but the complete CD archive was for sale. I'm greatly and eagerly looking forward to reading these! If anyone has any other magazines in any form, tape, disk or otherwise, please let me know, either here or off list. I can try to work with you to get any cassettes transferred. I especially am looking for disk magazines.

I have 52 of Open apple magazine
  Oa01Jan85.dsk
  through
  Oa55Jul89.dsk

There is no speech on the disks and no file reading program so you'll need to boot your talking disk with a textfile reading program and access the files on drive two..
All issues have long textfiles which could be read with any program that can handle long textfiles, including my
Menu Reader Program on the aTalkUtility.dsk.
A few of the disk—maybe starting in late 1987 through the end have a few programs on the disk as well as the textfiles.

Also, I am missing three issues of open apple:
  Oa40Apr88.dsk
  Oa42Jun88.dsk
  Oa50Feb89.dsk

If anybody happens to have these 3 disk images, please let me know.
These disks are also in the
  dropbox folder under
  Talking Apple Archive
  Periodicals
  Open Apple
I hope you find some of this interesting.
