[Blindapple] .gz files

How do I open a .gz  file?
I’m trying to open 
168 - Christmas Games and Novelties (Midland Apple Club, ACES).dsk.gz 

The computer says it’s an adobe file, but adobe reader won’t open the file.
I tried to open it with CiderPress by just changing to .dsk with out the ..gz—that didn’t work.  
If anybody is familiar with this type of file, and knows how to open the file, or change it to a CiderPress-friendly format, please let me know.
