Hi folks,
I ended up putting my apple emulator project on hold for a while, but picked it up again today.
Running ubuntu mate as my linux distro of choice, I installed mame, and from the mess apple mac dir, I did mame apple2ee, and here's the output.
markp at purrwurr:~/messapple-mac/messapple-mac$ mame apple2ee
Unknown system 'apple2ee'

"apple2ee" approximately matches the following
supported games (best match first):

apple10 Apple 10 (Ver 1.21)
apparel Apparel Night (Japan 860929)
bigappg The Big Apple (2131-13, U5-0)

sexappl Sex Appeal (Version 6.02)
ad5pp Pink Panther (PR2283, QPSNPINK) (Mazooma) (Adder 5) (set 1)
aponow Apocaljpse Now (bootleg of Rescue)

aafbd2p All American Football (rev D, 2 Players)
markp at purrwurr:~/messapple-mac/messapple-mac$
What should I try next?
Hmm, one idea comes to mind. Maybe I need Kyle's modified ini file. I'll go get it and see. I'll report back.

I say this because to make the Mac version run, I had to make some changes to Jason's original apple2ee.ini file. Since Mac OS and Linux are both unix based operating systems, having the Mac version of the ini file might give you a closer starting point.
