[Blindapple] trouble with the emulator stuttering on newerlaptop

I'm using windows 8.1, the sound chopps, instead of it saying textalker 
installed, it's doing a tetetetetextalker installed, meaning it's choking. 
I've tried two cards the internal onboard card and the x-fi external with 
the same result.
