I have had success running the emulator. However, I did not have any luck running the main hall. I downloaded the eamon cd and put all the disks in a folder “messapple-mac/disks/dos33” is where I have them. I ran a disk to get speech using the hangman disk using the following command.

./mess64 apple2ee -flop1 disks/hangman.dsk

The emulator ran and said ready. I pressed fn delete, shift f7, 1, then escape. I was taken out of the emulator at that point. i then typed the following.

./mess64 apple2ee -flop1 disks/dos33/d3_001.dsk -state 1

I heard the apple 2 beep but no speech occurred after waiting a few minutes. Did I miss a step? I am running this on an iMac.

Switch disks, and load the Eamon main hall, it's D3_001.DSK All the talking main hall disk does is boot with speech right away, you'll still need to read the readme.txt and learn how to switch disks once you get past the beginners cave and go on other adventures.
