I got the first beep when lonching that disk, but I didn't get a second indicating to enter configuration.

There isn't supposed to be. When it beeps, type mess and press return. You should get speech.

      Hi,

You probably want to download the newest package then. Visit http://onj.me/apple2e and click on the appropriate package, Windows or Mac. Note that the Readme is now an HTML document allowing for heading navigation.

I must have an older package, because I don't see that disk in my folder.

          Hi,

You should have it. If you've downloaded the newest emulator package, brlboot.dsk is in there. Just use FID to copy the Textalker files to another disk.

I would like that one. I know it had a different speaking style and you can't hit any key to interupt speach.

              Hi,

The oldest Textalker I know about is probably the one that's on brlboot.dsk as part of Braille Edit.

If anyone has the first version of textalker in .dsk form and it works with the emulator, please do send it over.
