[Blindapple] a weird textalker discovery

I just tested here on 5 different free speech synthesizers that can
speak on Linux and Windows: [Espeak][1], [MARY TTS][2], [SVox Pico][3],
[Festival][4) and [SAM][5]. I was expecting at least one of these
unusual pronunciations to be presen in at least one of these speech
synthesizers. Strangely, they do appear to be specific to Apple, with
the exception of Textalker and the Echo speech card. MARY TTS, Festival
and Espeak pronounced `g h o t i' as `goaty,' SVox Pico pronounced it as
`ghhotey' and SAM pronounced it as "hot-eye." `007' was a bit more
consistent. MARY TTS pronounced it as `7,' whereas the others all
pronounced it as `0 0 7.' Incidentally, I noticed the `fish'
pronunciation of `ghoti" on every version of Textalker from 1.3 all the
way to 3.1.4, so it appears to go all the way back to the beginning of
Textalker, even though pronunciations of other words changed
dramatically from 1.3 to 3.1.2.
