[Blindapple] The gs is talking!

If the GS isn't holding its settings at power off, the battery's most likely
dead.  Do you know what rom version you have?  On the 0 and 01 versions, the
battery is soldered onto the motherboard.  On the 03, it's in a holder.
If you have a copy of Davex, you can use that to save your control panel
settings, once they're set to reasonable values, to a file, then restore
them when your system forgets.  You need the conp command.  Let me know if
you need it.  Also, Computer Aids wrote a Basic program to allow a blind
person to independently adjust control panel settings.  Or if you are using
Textalker-GS, you should be able to set them yourself once the system is
booted.  Just hit Ctrl-Apple-Esc, select "control panel" hit Enter and
you're off.  Let me know if you need further instructions.
