As you will see from my next post, I am not at all qualified to
answer your issue. I am trying to learn automation and have a
long way to go.

My experimentation so far suggests that using latch instead of
write is a bit more consistent, but that may be my clumsiness.
Before playing back, switch to read or trim/read.

Hi,

There's no right or wrong way to do this, but you may find it
easier to put each actor on his own track and pan the tracks,
perhaps automating the pan if an actor moves. this way you don't
have to mess about with non contiguous selections and things,
plus it's easier to handle effects, particularly if you want to
start playing with the ratio of wet to dry with reverbs as
actors walk closer and further away.

Hope this helps,
Hi Germano

As long as you installed the Xenakios/SWS plugin, alt-s will
allow you to adjust volume and pan of individual items. You
get edit fields for both with no indication of current
level/pan but it works well. To pan left put a minus sign
before the value.
