So, I tried to enable midi again today with the keyboard and
screen review, and again it wouldn't work. I tried it with a
mouse, but that wouldn't work. So then I dragged my computer (a
rather havy clunky beast) up to the atic where the big monitor
was plugged in. My flatmate was there to help do it for me with
the mouse. But then, while I was demonstrating it not working
with the keyboard, the bloody thing worked. Perhaps plugging in
a monitor did the trick, but essentially after five minutes of
huffing and puffing to get the thing up to tha atic, I was able
to do it with the keyboard in about two seconds. At least it's
working now, and I got a bit of exercise in the process too. So
good news all round.
