<DIV><SPAN class=046141104-07042015><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Can someone please
give me a little hand here? I have a .mid midi file which I need to not
just import into Reaper, but then I need to use my default sound card to play
the midi file back. Basically, what I'm trying to accomplish is I want to
be able to load up the midi file into Reaper, and eventually be able to
hit space bar to play, and then be able to audibly here it back. I'm
perfectly aware that midi isn't audio. My guess is that there will be a
few more steps than just importing the midi file. The midi tracks are very
very well named in this file, so if I have to route the midi tracks to another
track which uses an instrument track, as long as you all can tell me how to do
that, and on the instrument track, how to select the patch it will use, then
figuring out what instrument goes with what midi track isn't an issue in the
least. I just need step by step directions on how to route the midi data
into a software instrument so it can actually be heard audibly. I hope I'm
making sense.</FONT></SPAN></DIV>
