I have, sort of, come to understand how the
automation works. I know how to get the envelopes visible, though I'm not sure
what arms them, and setting automation to write and so on is no problem. I know
that I can also use alt upand down arrows to automate volume, alt right and left
for pan. I'm wondering if there is a better way to automate these, as the
changes are quite gradual. I'm also wondering how to automate effects. For
example, we can take a piece and put it through a ring modulator, but the
exciting aspect of automation is that we can ride the ring mod frequency up and
down through the entire piece, changing it as we go, and having that sound
always be the same after that. Am I wrong, or is this doable?
