volumes after splitting and such, now I get to import in to good old sonar and
see what got changed, velocity info or actual channel volume

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Midi acts differently for some reason with reaper,
even if you have tracks separated,</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>and you split an item reaper wants to split all the
midi on each track.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>The only way so far I see around it is to split
after you select a item with control right or left arrow.</FONT></DIV>

complex <BR>with it, setting up parallel effects chains on multiple channels
of the <BR>same track, sending that track's effected output to another track
for <BR>even further processing, of course the obvious example of
side-chaining <BR>by using another channel pair and routing the plugin's input
to that <BR>channel pair rather than where the track normally gets audio, etc.
And, <BR>of course, routing midi is pretty much exactly the same as routing
<BR>audio. Only the context really changes as far as that is concerned, in
