There will be repetitions, but they're copied from wikis and what
knowledgeable folks have said about how to run Reaper with
ReaAccess.
You can keep them somewhere, and make them available to anyone who'll use
them, if you want.
I've titled the individual notes with what I thought were sensible
titles, according to the problem they solved.
They're in RTF rich text format.
Without making it too extreme and trying to put everything there, perhaps
a
Thoughts anyone?
You know we're answering the same questions again and again on this
list.
It does benefit us by thinking out the answers; simplifying an
explanation; but someday someone needs to take something like
the
'Reaper QuickStart' guide and follow its basic outline; substituting
our
ReaAccess methods where the sgtandard QuickGuide shows
mouse-oriented
methods.
I'm an archiver; and keep notes every time someone says something I
don't know well yet about Reaper, so all those notes are available
if
they'd help.
There are often several ways to do 1 thing, so the different
possible
methods need to be discussed.
I just can't work up sufficient energy for the job myself, and
I
wouldn't presume to volunteer you for that job; but maybe there's
someone out there who'll be perfect for the task.
The nearest thing we have to a guide at the moment is the RWP
archive
online.
I often google RWP plus a question in a few words; and up come our
emails from years ago, sometimes exactly answering the question, only
I
wasn't ready to understand the answer at that time.
Sorry Steve, didn't mean to step on anyone's toes.
I come into this inbox and there's such a pile of messages, I can't
tell
what's been answered already and what's still waiting for an answer
Sometimes I begin at the bottom of the pile and work my way up, and
sometimes vice versa.
If more than 1 of us answers, the different points of view might
benefit
the questioner, I figure.

Adrian, I first insert a track with ctrl+T.
Then arrow to that just inserted track, then press F.
You'll immediately find yourself in an insert effects plug dialog,
where
you can browse to where Reaper keeps its plugs, including any plugs
you
have placed in your own VSTPlugins folder.
I use C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\
for third-party plugs; because it's the most standard location; and
is
recognized immediately by most plugIn installers.
Once you browse to a plug's name; just hit enter on it and it will
load.
You'll still be in Reaper's FX Chaining Page, where you can often
find
parameters of the loaded plug at your tab key.
Look carefully at those parameters; like maybe there's an edit box
at
the arrow keys, and sometimes you get a list of presets at the
arrow

keys.

There is a combo box at the tab
key that doesn't always display all the
presets of an FX plug.
Press ctrl+up arrow; then Page Down and the preset list will show up
in
that combo box.
To return to track view press escape key
To return to the FX Chaining Page from track view; use up/down arrows
to
select the track with the effects you want and press F.
