<DIV>Hi Chris</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Yes, you do understand correctly, there is No User Manual for the Reaaccess
module.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>However, the Training Mode with F12 is an absolute God send. If you work
your way through all of these keystrokes, a little time and patience will pay
dividends.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>As I have stated previously, I come from about 5 to 6 years of using Sonar
with JAWS, J Sonar scripts, and Hot Spot Clicker so I was in Audio Heaven but,
REAPER , IMHO .... is just infinitely better, even without a User Manual for the
Reaaccess module.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>For your current situation of getting FX onto your trax, Select the Trak
you want to insert the FX onto and press the F key, it will open up an Insert FX
Dialog Box.... Navigate with the TAB key....</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>All of the Dialog Boxes that have appeared for me in REAPER so far have all
been totally navigable, using the TAB key and all fields that need data are very
very accessable. I use System Access.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>REAPER is certainly up there when it comes to DAW’s so it will take a
little time to ‘tame the beast’ so to speak, but the end results will show
because of the time and patience.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Just re-emphasizing, working your way slowly through the keystrokes with
the F12 Training Mode, you will find in some ways better than a User
Manual.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>And there are others on the list more proficient with REAPER than I that
will gladly anser all your questions when you come up against a blamk
wall....</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>So sit back relax and enjoy....</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Take care</DIV>

<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I have read on several forums around the Globe that there are even
dedicated Pro Tools users that are changing to REAPER simply because it is just
a better DAW all round.</DIV>

<DIV dir=ltr>Thanks for the F12 tip. Should come in handy. Am I to understand
though that there is no guide as such for ReaAccess? How do blind users get
started? Do you just have to figure it out from the standard user guide and the
training mode? Seems like such a tall order at the moment. For instance, I'm
trying to work out how to patch an effect. In the user guide it says click on
the FX button in the track control panel, but I have no idea how to access the
track control panel using the keyboard, and can't find any mention of it in the
menus. And that's just one element out of hundreds that I will need to know to
use this software.<BR>At the moment I'm having trouble seeing how I can work out
what to do when I don't know what's even possible. I've used Sonar for a couple
of years, and it wasn't too difficult to get up and running because there was a
guide for blind users that came with the scripts. I don't think I have enough
knowledge to work this stuff out without some sort of guide. As you can probably
tell, I'm pretty frustrated at the moment.<BR> <BR>
