<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>audio meters? Yep, I think I already
have that one working. Of course, there is one per track. The way
I'm doing that is there is a hot key to read the meter for the current
track. So, you arrow to the track and then press the key if you want
to hear the meter reading. Another hotke, or maybe a double click of
that one, to reset the meter. I might try making it optionally automatic.
If you turn that on, the level would read once automatically, when
you arrowed to the track. I would expect that there are also meters
for the master bus. But, I haven't figured out where that is yet.
I'm still pretty new to the program, so there is a lot I don't
know.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>There is no way I will be charging for these
scripts. I can't justify charging for scripts to allow you to use a free
program. The program itself took a lot more work that I'm going to put
into these. And, to be honest, I'm not planning to do an exhaustive
treatment of the subject. Basically, I'm going to crack the items that
interest me, and that I have half a clue how to approach. That doesn't
mean that I have to be the one to think of it first. So, if there is an
item you need to use, not just one you are idly curious about, or think would be
cool to play with briefly and then ignore, but things you would actually use,
feel free to pass it along, along with any clues about it that you might have,
and I'll consider it.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Remember, I probably know less about the
program than you do. So, while there is a lot I can do, miracles are still
someone else's provicnce.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Wow,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I am finally getting around to getting started
with Reaper. Man, this is a very very nice little program. Very
snappy and efficient. It nakes sonar look and feel like a cumbersome
old albatraus! </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Meanwhile, While we're waiting for Reaper
Access to come into the hands of people who can really make it sing for all
of us, JAWS users will want to know that HotSpotClicker works pvery nicely
with this program. If you can find the item you want with the
jaws cursor, you can easily define a hot key to quickly jump there, and
speak the information you want, or do whatever kind of mouse click you
need.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Visit </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial><A
href="http://HotSpotClicker.org">http://HotSpotClicker.org</A> </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>if you want more info about that.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I won't be developing a complete set of jaws
scripts for it, and selling them for cash. But, I'll be generating
some little script fragments to address my personal pet issues.
</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I've already got cursor time and level for the
current track showing up on the braille display, updating in real
time.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>And, hot keys to speak, or reset the level for
the current track.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>And, some keys to let your more easily hear the
audio as you nudge the left or right ends of a time selection.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>So, some handy things are shaping
up.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Again, I don't plan to take this too far.
Just far enough to serve my own needs, and perhaps, some of those that are
suggested to me, that I actually know how to address. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I'm leaving the existing scripts in place, even
though the need for some of them isn't apparent to me at the
moment.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>If I get something worth while cooking, I may
post them on my web site, snowmanRadio.com, in case they are useful to
somebody. Since they're free, your every problem isn't necessarily my
every problem. But, if you use them, and have an idea for something
useful, let me know, and I'll see if anything can be done within
reason.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial> </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>One auspicious problem with adapting Reaper is
that there are so darned many hot keys already, that assigning new ones is a
bit tricky. Do you guys like layered keyboard approaches? You know,
where you press a special hot key that gets you into a new layer, where you
have a totally new set of hot key assignments until you exit the layer back
to your original layer? I have mixed feelings about that sort of
thing. It's great for keyboard real estate, but it's a bit les
efficient.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Happy Reaping. May you Reap even more than you
sew.</FONT></DIV>
