Yup, this feature isn't just limited to sonar or melladyne, you can in reaper.</font></div><div><font face="Arial" size="2">The defaults, which I haven't had a chance to do much with provide some interesting results but if you have audio synked to the project tempo, select an item by navigating to it with control left or right arrow.</font></div><div><font face="Arial" size="2">Then press applications, go in to the item processing submenu, and click dynamically split items.</font></div><div><font face="Arial" size="2">I'd just split where transients occur, turning off the gate stuf. Also, telling reaper to reduce the amount of splits done would be a good idea, because then you have less items.</font></div><div><font face="Arial" size="2">Now, press home and use control shift right arrow to select all the items that now exist. </font></div><div><font face="Arial" size="2">Press applications, go to item processing, and select quantize items to grid</font></div><div><font face="Arial" size="2">Set the value that makes the most sense, and play with some of the stretching options.
