reaper? Yup, this feature isn't just limited to sonar or melladyne, you
can in reaper.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>The defaults, which I haven't had a chance to do
much with provide some interesting results but if you have audio synked to the
project tempo, select an item by navigating to it with control left or right
arrow.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Then press applications, go in to the item
processing submenu, and click dynamically split items.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I'd just split where transients occur, turning off
the gate stuf. Also, telling reaper to reduce the amount of splits done
would be a good idea, because then you have less items.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Now, press home and use control shift right arrow
to select all the items that now exist. </FONT></DIV>

select quantize items to grid</FONT></DIV>

with some of the stretching options. At first you will break audio in some
rather amusing ways, but eventually you'll find all kinds of neet </FONT><FONT
