[Rwp] Beat Making in Reaper

High everyone. I'm a new user of reaper, but I've used Audacity for 
years now. I began using Reaper with OSARA since it gives me better 
access to my DAW.
Deep thanks to everyone who is responsible for the creation of OSARA.
Presently, I'm trying to compose a song in reaper, however, from the 
time i hit r to record and start playing, there's some scilance. How can 
I erace this scilance?
