[Rwp] reaper rooting software tracks to hardware effects please help, kind regards trey.

hi all, my situation is this i'm running reaper on windows7 with a motu 8m. 

I have a korg kp+ that I would like to run some software tracks in to. 

Ive done the following connected the outs of my kp3 to inputs 2/3 of my 8m connected  motu 8m hardware outputs  3/4 to my kp3's inputs with track 1 as the track i want to sent to the kp3 I've set it to hardware outputs 3/4 using the rooting dialog of reaper track 1 is not armed and record monitoring is turned off. 

I've set track 2 to record on inputs 2/3 of my sound card, when i play the track through my kp3 i here nothing just the unaffected audio from track one. I even tried sending track 1 to track 2 with reaper sends and receives but still nothing what am i doing wrong guys? 

I'm completely lost here :(
