[Rwp] converting and playing with m4a files to wav files please explain if this can be done

Hi all.
Well, it's been a while, but I have some questions for the old curiosity 
shop. I'm wondering because I have a person working with me on a radio 
station that constantly sends me files in m4a recorded form, but 
wondering if I can import those to Wav files using Reaper. I knew 
Audacity and other softwares required a special software or some plug 
ins, but not sure. Please shoot and sound off.
