Morning:
That is it. Press control plus alt plus x, it will show you the media explorer. From here, you can browse your hard drive, and listen your files before importing them. Use backspace to return to the previous folder,
Use space bar to play or stop the selected file if suported,
and press enter to import the selected sound to your project.
Note that there is no message saying you have succesfully imported the file. Choose the files, press enter on each one and close the explorer by pressing again control plus alt plus x, or keep it opened while you check the results in the main window. You can alternate between main project window and the explorer (if it is visible) pressing control plus up or down arrows, if I am not wrong.

Hope this helps.

Cool edit play s automatically file which gets a focus or you can press play button manually. But it seems, that In reaper I have to import item to play it. This feature would be handful when browsing samples, loops. I am talking about wave files, not midi. I tryed to search on the internet, also looked in reaper settings but I can not find something like this. Is it possible?
