[Rwp] a thought for the permanent key map

Hey, I am happy to help out with additions to the key map \
by making custom actions for half a db down assigned to what ever
keystroke everybody wants, if everyone agrees half a db is the magic number.
Since there were already reaper actions for 1 db down,
I think that's probably why Derick and GN Luca used those measurements,
and that's a pretty good general thing most people seem to like, but my
original point was to make actions that were able to be used with
automation.
Right now the alt down arrow and up arrow which
are the only volume actions which can respond to automation
and if I remember Jamie telling us a while back, that was a UI limitation.
5 percent of a db is a nice fine resolution to build on because from
there we can build any jump values we like,
a 10th of a db, half a db,
it doesn't matter, so I don't know about jaws users, but with NVDA it's
easy to create extra consolidations in that second list,
YOu just have to focus on that action in the first list,
and then press insert plus numpad enter,
as many times as you like to get the number of repeats you want in the
second list.
it won't tell you when something is added, but if you count 10 presses,
that's half a db.
and then you can go to the second list and look at it to see how many of
that action are in there.
Very slick indeed,
and I like the default of 5 percent of a db to do really long, nice
smooth fades
and I have created both half db and 1 db versions and now I'm in the
habbit of exporting my custom key stufff,
and I'm still trying to make up my mind what exactly I want to have at
my finger tips, and what I don't mind searching for in that huge action
list 'grin'.
I suspect that will never be a one size fits all, but then that's the
beauty of reaper,
