[Rwp] envelope stuff

Hey Patrick?
Maybe I can help you a bit for a change 'grin'.
It's usually the other way around.
Ok, maybe the factor you're missing is you have to select the envelope
you want to work on.
the keys arre control l and
shift control l to move between envelopes.
Then you can insert an envelope point or 10 and work with them.
If you only insert one, then it's just at the value you have set it at,
and nothing will change.
If you insert two say 4 measures apart,
like a point at bar 1 and one at bar 4 and set the one at bar 1 to 0 db
and the one at bar 4 to -10 db then it will fade down.
YOu can put values in the middle to slow it down, and you can change
envelope shapes, if you use a square one as your first one then it won't
fade down so fast.
I'm still working and getting the hang of this myself, but it's great fun,
Here's a litle step by step.

1.
go to the track menu and the envelopes sub menu and toggle volue active
2.
Hit control l and make that volume envelope active
3.
Do alt shift e and set your envelope point like you want.
Move down stream and do the same with alt shift e again.
You'll notice the chage if you have atleast two points set differently.
the nice thing is if you do it this way it seems to stay put,
till you set another point.
I hope this helps you out a bit.
It is just so kick ass to be able to edit automation this way, this is
the first time we've ever had it.
And if you use the alt shift e any where along the line where you made
your points, you can see where it's set at, and change it nudge it up or
down, and see what it does, change the shape so it changes the curve,
delete points, and all thkat good stuff.
Smart as you are, you'll catch on in a heart beat 'grin'.
