[Rwp] envelope stuff

OK. I'm way behind when it comes to playing with track automation, which 
I now need to make some use of.
I get, just from playing a bit, that you need to make an envelope 
visible for the parameter you want to adjust, I.E. volume, pan, an 
arbitrary effect parameter, etc. There are keys to jump to next/previous 
envelopes, a key to edit an existing selected envelope point, but I am 
missing the incredibly obvious here.

Let's say I have the volume envelope for track 3 visible. How exactly am 
I supposed to insert an envelope point for that control at cursor 
position? It seems to insert an envelope on the track, which affects the 
entire track.
There is an action called insert point at current position, which was 
not mapped to a key, and didn't seem to do much when I ran it.

I want to make a few smooth fades in specific places on a track. Nothing 
too fancy, but I figure the same deal applies to any type of envelope 
you happen to play with.
