[Rwp] Some others midi questions

Hi to all,
I installed Virtual instruments and I'm able to play midi with my keyboard.
Now, I want record some music, by using some midi facilitations if there 
are in reaper.
I can create an empty item and activate midi editor; then I can record 
from my keyboard some notes and I can see these notes in event list.
Ok, this worsk.
But, there is a way to play note by note?
Or, there is a plugin that works with midi chords such an arranger software?
In other words, if I record an arpeggio in c major, there is a plugin 
that recognizes chords and trasposes my recorded c major?
