[Rwp] Changing Item Play Rates Without Introducing Clicks

Thing is, at least in Sound Forge, not all zero-crossings are equally
good. I've found I've had to use different crossings until I find one
that provides a smooth transition but a tiny cross-fade, growing the
edge of one item over the other a bit so the two segments mix a little
or an envelope are going to be your best best. Trouble with mixing two
slightly out of tune samples is that you may get a detuned effect but
how long the mix is will dictate how noticeable that is.

Good luck,
