Jus tout of curiosity what would you go with if you had to do it over again?

No menus within menus and huge amounts of pages to worry about. Lots of dedicated controls for things like routing to sends and subgroups. There are soft knobs, but everything is context sensitive.

Obviously, you will get a real analog experience with something like the Mackie Onyx or A&H Zed series, because they are true analog consoles with A/D and D/a, rather than the native digital state of the Presonus StudioLive, Behringer X32, A&H QU-24, and others in that class.

You can override the driver default and decrease the buffer latency within Reaper itself, and I've even managed to do it with NVDA and VSL, but by default, there is a safety which adds some latency.
