[Rwp] Compressor on kick (track 1), for attenuate track 2 at each hit ?

I"m having a perplexing problem though with side chaining.
I can do a simple side chain just fine but I have a synth track with 
receives from multiple midi tracks.
No matter what I do I can't make the synth track duck another audio 
track even though I've routed the send to the 3/4.
If I record the audio from the synth and then route that track it works 
fine.
There is a setting to not allow or to allow feedback in routing,
but I don't thing that is the issue, becaue I'm feeding to a different 
track, not any of the input tracks.
I'm just really curious why my soft synth out track won't work like it's 
supposed to but the audio track will.
