[Rwp] recording out bord effects with my motu8m and reaper?

hey all, i have some out bored effects that ide like to use with reaper and my hardware synths and drum machines, I’m recording in to a motu8m. 

To use the out bored effects with reaper and recorded material do i just have the track i want to use with the effect going out of one set of my motu’s out puts and then coming back in on separate inputs of the motu on a different reaper track? or have i got this all wrong?
