[Rwp] Midi controllers and VST's

That's why I love to buy Yamaha products. The tech will stay on the phone
with you patiently for even an hour teaching you where buttons are, etc. I
have had excellent experience in that sense with Yamaha and Tascam.
Occasionally you will get a tech who tries to resist by saying that -- oh
well, we cannot give you more than that time, blah blah blah, but they
always end up getting me going. I like to buy knowing that the company is
willing to support their product in this way.

If you actually read the manuals of the system, it's very
interesting... because it actually states several times that the GK is
not a standard midi pickup. It works on a different system, but either
way is a good one. I'm going to go into my local store and renew the
warranty that expires in a couple weeks... and I'm going to see if I
can talk one of them into looking through it for me while I'm away.
Failing that, I'm going to contact the Roland head office in richmond,
because this really isn't a good show on their part for not offering
good enough tech support... because not everyone has the resources to
just look at a video and do exactly what it says. And at the end of
the day, it's all preference of course whether you like todeal with
plugins or live sound. I play live a lot, so cracking open the DAW and
dialing in my sound is just another way that helps my guitar playing,
as well. :)
