You are very welcome.
It's a lot of fun learning a great new tool with you guys.
I've discovered something really cool about midi in reaper.
One of my bitches has been you can't do midi volume without inserting
events or using that midi control thing.
but if you record midi in leanes, where each item has your take in it, I
haven't tested with reaper defaultls, as I like to run reaaper in the as
much like sonar mode as possible, sound on sound like behavior so I can
build up loops and such, but if I have midi in an item then the item
volume turns the midi up and down.
It seems to act separately on each part too, as if I had rendered it to
audio.
I need to do more testing with this, but if this is the case, then this
is a welcome feature I didn't know about.
For instance, I did a drum loop with the tamborine in a separate pass.
and I was able to select that item, and turn the volume up only on the
tamborine.
It didn't sound like it was doing velocity scalingeither, so I am going
to make sure of that by using an instrument with little or no velocity
sensitivity,
and see how that volume thing works.
Perhaps an organ part.
I'll report back.
