Ok Scot, if a simple done
version is ok, then here is Pooch

My Earl guy is a talentedsong writer, but his timing is out to lunch.
He adds 8th and quarter notes as the muse strikes, turns the beat around
and well, you just can't teach an old dog new tricks.
So I let him just bang out a song, and then build the band around him.
His stuff is quite popular in our circles, get's air play, and is quite
good if you can get past some of the timing issues, and I use reaper to
fixup the worst of these.
Reaper as you know can seamlessly slice and then re-blend audio back
together with no pops and clicks,
even if you don't use stretch markers or worry so much about 0 crossing
points, it is like magic, I used to usesoundforge and sonar and they did
ok, but reaper is like magic when it comes to this sort of carpentry.
So with reaperand Osara, I have been able to whittle Earl's stuff in to
a more professional product, I don't try and make it perfect, just so
you can pat your foot through it and go, what the f and not loose the
beat 'grin'.
I think part of the timing
is part of the charm like those old blues singers or folks artists, who
ever put them on the grid.
Anyway, enjoy.
this funny downhome tune and dog lovers will like this one and identify
with it of course.
