Yeah, it would be cool if you could assign the sequences to keys on the keyboard and change your sections like that.
That's what I am trying to figure out. I do have an MPD26 pad controller too, that would be cool. I think the matrix works like that in Sonar, but that's no help here in good old Reaper Ville.

FLStudio can do that. Never mind that it's not accessible, but I've seen it done exactly like that.
Don't have a real answer to your question though, that would be nice. I still like sequencing that way with the Motif's pattern sequencer.
