[Rwp] Basic track selection question

Hi, sorry. I seem to have solved it. Sort of. This is Windows. It's hard enough trying to learn things on Windows without learning the Mac side similtaniously. It turns out that my track selections are working. But, for some reason, when you apply a time selection and press delede, it deletes the selected audio on all tracks. If, on the other hand I split an item, and delete that item, it will delete the item on the selected track. Why time selecting doesn't seem to be track specific is a mystery to me. Anyway, I have managed to do what I need to do.

The problem with the tracks not playing at the same time was a ripple issue. It transpires that if you insert some media into a new track, if ripple is on, then it will import after the audio stops playing on the first track. It's amazing how ripmle status changes so much; apart from time stretching, but let's not go down that slippery slope.

Thanks again for stepping into the breach.

However, the ReaConsole select commands don't seem to be working, even though when I move the mouse I can hear NVDA report that ReaConsole has inputted the correct command. Also the other ReaConsole commands are all working. Very odd.

Then, if I try to split an item, it only splits the item on track 2, even though I’m focused on track one. I have scoured the actions list to find out how to select a track. There seems to be nothing. Apparently, pressing shift up or down arrow will select that track, leaving other tracks selected. But I just want to select track one. Not to worry, I think, I have ReaConsole. I press alt and c and type in S1, with the s as an upper case S. This is the instruction to select only track one. However, when I split an item, or press delete, it deletes the content both tracks two, or splits the item on track two.
