Hi,
That was the address for the training site's home page. Perhaps the
information on the short course hasn't been published there yet, but an
email promo was circulated, which I've pasted below.
Basically, it'll be a five week short course on various aspects of Osara for
those who already have a good understanding of audio. There's an email
address for anyone who wants to enrole or who has further questions.
They also periodically offer a longer course called Audio Fundamentals,
which covers a wider range of concepts from the basic to the more
complicated such as things we've been talking about here - effects chaining,
side chaining etc. Up to now they've taught Rea Access for that course but
who knows what the future may hold. One or both courses may be useful to the
likes of Chris, who said in a previous email that it would be good to have
access to tutorials.
Anyone who decides to sign up will see me there as I've put my name down.
Hope this helps,
Justin
ever wanted to be in full control of your multi-track audio projects?
Have you ever considered composing music with Midi and wanted more tools to
get it done?
Have you been frustrated with the limits of reaccess and Reaper and
wondering what the next fronteer regarding Audio editing was?
In recent months NVAccess has released an extention to Reaper called Osara.
This extention is a reimplementation of the accessability layer to Reaper.
If you have good audio editing skills, and want to upgrade your skills to
the next level, consider the CAVI Osara short course.
This course will cost $100 and is 5 intensive weeks of Osara training.
Fundamental audio knowledge will be assumed, or people may wish to return
and take Audio fundamentals next year to fill in the gaps in their
knowledge.
This course will be run using Pcs on Teamtalk, although any Mac info on
Reaper would be appreciated.
We are looking for students who are interested in taking this
course. As it is a short course, payment is generally required up front.
If this is a problem please get in touch with us and we can work something
out.
It is anticipated that this course will start early October so any
interested people please email caviinfo at ciscovision.org
This is an exciting course that will teach many new concepts including how
to preview midi data and how to build custom envelopes for fade pan and many
other affects.
This is likely the only time this course will run so get in quick or you may
miss out!
We look forward to signing interested students up.
Regards, Kerry.
