[Rwp] 32-bit Plugins in 64-bit Reaper or 32-bit plugins in 32-bit Reaper?

Reasons to consider 64 bit would be for loading of larger samples, which
can take advantage of more memory.
No reason not to have both installed, it won't hurt anything.
I too tend to favor 32 bit versions of DAW's both sonar and reaper for
the slight advantage of more accessibility
with certain plugs.
There is a dx shell wrapper which can load up 32 bit dx plugs and make
them look like vst plugs.
If you are using any older dx plugs, some of them don't like to run on a
64 bit OS.
Most 32 bit vst's will run on a 64 bit daw
on a 64 bit OS just fine, but as you've noticed that bridged mode issue
can cause access issues.
But that dx wrapper should make things play nicely.
But for reasons of some older software, I keep a 32 bit version of
windows 7 around on aa machine,
and also still have an xp build around here.
But most machines here running 64 bit windows 7 and working fine with
both 32 and 64 bit vst plugs.
But as mentioned, I tend to use the 32 bit versions of the DAW's more often.
