[Rwp] 32-bit Plugins in 64-bit Reaper or 32-bit plugins in 32-bit Reaper?

Hi folks,
I've got a 32-bit plugin the Virtual guitarist plug-in from Steinberg.
When I had 64-bit Reaper installed, the plugin always opened as
abridged plug-in and I could not get at a single thing at all using
NVDA and yes, I do know how to use object navigation extremely well.
But that did not help, I had the same problem in the bridged situation
as I have had in Sonar during my brief time with it's bridged VST
junk generally speaking as well.
So, I installed the 32-bit version of Reaper and Osara instead after
erasing the 64-bit one.
Unless their is a way to force all plug-ins inside Reaper 64 to never
open at all in Bridged mode, then I won't be installing the thing
again.
But it would be nice, to make full use of my 16 GB of RAM.
By the way, I figured out my MIDI interface problem, forgot to enable
the device so that's why I wouldn't have heard anything, duh!
And yes, WASAPI works fine on this computer using Reaper now, so that
other message about needing to know how to test can be ignored.
If I can get some advice on how to control bridged mode or if that is
even possible, I'd appreciate it.
Their is one plugin the electric guitar that the Steinberg virtual
guitarist program installed on this machine that surprisingly opens in
bridged mode even in Reaper 32-bit I might add.
And whenever bridged comes up I have serious accessibility
difficulties at that point.
And usually I end up having Reaper crash sooner or later with the
Reaper32Host.Exe process still running that needs to be shut down
separately.
Can anybody stop me from pulling my hair literally out over this bridged stuff?
it's driving me nuts this morning!
But I am happy to report Wasapi works beautifully here!
I have had no problems so far with it, other than running
occasionally in to this bridged mode.
if an alternate accessible virtual guitar plugin can be suggested,
please list some as I'm looking for some to utilize in projects.
Also, while I'm on the subject of projects for a moment, can I clear
every recent project from Reaper somehow in it's projects menu if I
wish to do so?
Or must I hack the Windows registry somehow to accomplish this.
If programs generally have recent menus, I generally love to know how
to clear them out ultimately no matter how tricky that turns out to
be.
Thanks folks!
Jamie, I'm enjoying your Osara DLL by the way :)
Regards,
Keith
