Hi,
For the best compatibility with ReaAccess, you'd want Reaper 3.7.
However, ReaAccess was abandoned by its developer and won't be updated
anymore. OSARA is a new accessibility addon which has started
supporting some functions beyond ReaAccess, so you might want to start
using that instead. OSARA can be found at
www.github.com/nvaccess/osara - the readme on that site contains
installation instructions and a link to a keymap that you'll probably
want to use.
Btw, all versions of Reaper are free to evaluate for 30 days. Beyond
that time, all that happens is you get a nag screen once per day which
lasts for 5 seconds. So, it's not necessary to go right back to
version 0.99, you can grab Reaper 5, and take as long as you need to
evaluate the software.
Hope that helps get you up and running
Scott
