Hello,

The SFZ player from Cakewalk is an excellent sampler, and we can
create key ranges and assign samples to specific keys on the keyboard.
It is free and I have included a link to an AHK that was created for
the SFZ Player and REAPER. I am new to REAPER, so I have not delve
much into AHK scripts. Not sure what kind of accessability it
provides. I’m assuming it will allow access to the load soundfont
button and provides similar functionality like HSC for Jaws.
The SFZ format is excellent because you can create and edit it with a
text editor like notepad. There are some op codes and it seems a
little daunting, but it is not too bad. I learned how to create one
through a sound on sound article that I provided a link to below.
Some basics you need to do:
•	Create a folder
•	Drop the samples (wav ogg etc)
•	Open up notepad and direct it to the samples with op codes, which
you can find reading the article or opening up .SFZ files with notepad
and reverse engineering the file
•	Save the file as “insert name”.sfz without the quotes and place it
inside of that folder
* load it up with the SFZ player VST.
•	Or you can drop a SFZ creator script in the folder where the samples
are located.I will provide a link to that script that will create a
basic SFZ file directing to all samples in that folder.
•	You hit enter on the SFZ creator and vuala you have a file called
new.SFZ (BTW someone posted that script at the DD list)
•	Then edit that file with basic op codes like key=c4 key=d4 etc (you
might want to add sample=oneshot for the sample)
