Hi Guys,
Yep, this one is boring too. I'm trying to figure out the best way for doing what I need to do here, and wonder if you can think of a better way to do this.
The project is one where I have lots of source files sent to me by several individuals, and I need to take isolated clips from each file, and put them into a nice, coherent reaper time line. So, I imagine one track per contributor, with items sparcely scattered along it, with the clips from that particular person.
Question is how to do this. The obvious is to htake sound forge, and go cut out the part I want, and save it to a small file. Then, go import that file into Reaper at the desired position.
But, is there a better way? One that might obviate the need to cut and save the small file?
I wondered if I can just create a blank audio item, and then go fill in the file name, and the start and length information. But, I can't figure out how to do that.
Of course, you can't do anything convenient like select data in Sound Forge, and go paste it into reaper. That would be too easy.
Anyway, I would appreciate your thoughts on the best way to do this. Thanks a lot.
