[Rwp] Matching EQ?

Hi all,

A few years ago, I tried EQ matching with Voxengo's EQ plug (don't
remember the name), and an iZotope demo.
iZotope's snapshot capturing for EQ match seems like it would work,
eh? But then You do it and nothing changes. So in short, we need
another solution, preferably in JS as Derek said. That'll be real
snappy and easy to use.

This next rant is for guitar cab sim people. :D
The potentially bad thing about EQ match vs capturing impulses the
traditional way, is you won't get any tail if the cab has resonance or
the room is ambient. So you'll get a dry curve which is cool, but it
might be sterile compared to a true IR. This came about from using
tons of EQ matched guitar impulses from Bestplugins; some of the tones
were quite excellent and some turned out hollow/stiff sounding since
there was some extra bits in the original signal that never got
conveyed through the EQ matched version. So like anything, there's a
time and place for EQ matched guitar cabs. I admit they do help tame
down radical peaks in guitar mixes quickly with almost no post
processing needed.

Microphone settings for voice, though, now we're talking. :)
