NO offense dude.
I'm a realist, and a pragmatist,
and I've gotten many a student after they banged their heads against
dead ends from email lists.
Even Jamie said he favored his paying folks 'smile', and yes, I'm being
cheeky.
I'm all for helping and sharing,
just calling it the way I see it.
We have a marvelous thing going on here, and a heavy hitter willing to
help us out.
Heck, if I had a problem i couldn't solve, and needed to do it with
reaper, I'd be going with cash in hand to an advanced reaper user,
like Scott, or Patrick, and saying, hey, help me out.
I wouldn't expect step by steps, and endless hand holding on an email list.
Because it cost somebody time.
If someone steps up to the plate, that's great.
But I get tired of these blindies who expect that,
yes, I get cussed in some circles because I charge for my knowledge,
but if the shoe were on the other foot, they wouldn't spend hours doing
stuff for other people,
so you see, in that sense, it's a selfish thing.
But ending on a possitive note,
things that are practical to share on an email list,
little tips and tricks,
and such fine.
Notice, I never, ever ask for step by steps on email lists.
I consider that tutoring territory.
but that's just me.
