[Rwp] item-shortcuts in reaper on mac don't work as expected

REAPER's in-built item navigation commands are very literal. They move
to the next or previous item relative to the edit cursor. This means
that if you're at the start of the project and there's an item at the
start of the project, moving to the next item will move to the second
item (not the first) because the first isn't technically *next*; it's
right at the current position. To get to the first item, you have to go
to the start of the project, move a little bit forward and then move to
previous item.
For the same reason, they also won't let you get to items which start at
the same position. For example, if item 2 and 3 both start at the same
position, item 3 will be skipped when moving by next item.
ReaAccess behaves differently. I'm thinking I'm eventually going to need
to implement my own item navigation commands for OSARA to work around
these issues, as right or wrong, the default behaviour isn't what most
users expect. Also, I don't think there's any in-built way to get at
items starting at the same position with the keyboard.

On my mac with Yosemite and reaper 4.77, keyboard-ninja-keymap is loaded, the select next and previous item commands don’t work as they should. Standing at the beginning, ctrl-shift-right brings me to the second of my 4 items. Pressing it again brings me to the end of the project. Item 3 and 4 are totally skipped and ctrl-shift-left for selecting the previous item doesn’t work at all. Am I right that after pressing the keys, the cursor should jump to the selected item and reaper should play from that point?
