[Rwp] Stopping at current playbackposition

Hi to the list,

sorry for this perhaps simple question, perhaps I have along line today. But how can I stop at the current playback position in reaper. . Having a long project and having located the cursor at the beginning always moves me back to the beginning after pressing space.  It should be possible to stop anywhere and having the cursor just there, if, for instance I want to perform edits at a position of 15 minutes.
