Thanks for the kind words on the podcast. Glad to know it was informative. :)

On guitar editing, I'm thinking of doing that very thing. I thought
doing a music-based demo cast would be more difficult than it is.
Guitar general tips/tricks is on my list, and perhaps a discussion on
how to give drum tracks realism and humanity, etc.

Hadi, Superior Drummer is a VST instrument and uses MIDI notes to
trigger the samples. You can buy a simple MIDI controller for under a
hundred bucks and start diving in. Before you know it, it'll be second
nature to hammer out a fill or what-have-you. Of course, MIDI
instruments aren't just limited to drums. I often relax with various
softsynths and unwind that way. Not recording anything, just jamming.
